Erin Keller has been appointed venture fund lead at the Georgia Tech Foundation, which provides financial backing for startups emerging from the Georgia Institute of Technology University.

As part of her new role, Keller leads diligence, investment recommendations and post-investment support for two Georgia Tech-focused venture funds.

“We’re partnering with VC firms and would love to facilitate connections to our portfolio. We’ve got strong companies and spinouts across industries, including medtech, robotics, AI, marketplaces, defence and more,” Keller said in a LinkedIn post.

She is stepping away from her previous role as a venture partner at Grit Ventures where she sourced early-stage startup investments.

Prior to this, Keller served as a senior associate at Toyota Ventures, the US-based corporate venture capital vehicle owned by Japan-headquartered carmaker Toyota. As part of her tenure, Keller led initial investment in 13 early-stage deals.

She also spent two years from April 2017 at Yamaha Motor Ventures and Laboratory Silicon Valley (YMVSV), a corporate venture capital subsidiary of electronics and automotive manufacturer Yamaha.
